FORGIVE U.S. OUR DEBT$
T. M. Crosby, author

When Congressman George Li of San Francisco rescues the United States from China’s bond call, the young Republican discovers it is easier than uniting his own party and the country.

It’s January 2015 – two years until the next U.S. President takes office, and just hours before a new Congress is sworn-in – when George gets a tip from a romantic interest in Beijing that China is calling a portion of its U.S. bonds.  He seizes the unprecedented act as an opportunity to negotiate reinstatement of the gold standard to save his country as a step toward ending a climate of paralyzing political divisiveness – and boost his own career to the White House.

As he plots his mine-laden path, the American Born Chinese congressman battles explosive racial, cultural and personal challenges – including an attempt on his life.  His meteoric popularity and near fatality endears him to the public but not to his own party – a bias that ultimately manifests in the election of a divisive, non-establishment candidate – and bombards his consciousness: how far is he willing to go and what is he willing to do to make America what he considers gracious – and inclusive – again?
