The poetry book greater distance and other poems includes a sequence of poems dedicated to author Alan Bern’s parents, as well as two illustrated letterpress broadsides that have been taken apart and reconstructed to fit in the book produced by Lines & Faces, the partnership of the author and artist Robert Woods. The book is designed by Woods with assistance from Bern and printed by Edition One Books in Berkeley, California.
