Sarah Brownlee is a gifted writer, no question about it.

I hadn't read too many books in the YA Paranormal genre - but this book had me hooked from start to finish!

In this love story between the handsome Raphael and the beautiful Skye, the author paints a vivid picture of these two who are not only human, but are among a unique breed of humans who are also Morphers .....

If you haven't read this book - I highly recommend it!

I absolutely adored this story. At first I thought it was going to be just another paranormal romance; but this was far from it. Instead of a soppy, over-dramatic love story; you have an innocent romance that is set during a time where everything seems to be falling apart.

Our knight in shining armour comes in the form of Raphael Renzo (not in the typical damsel in distress way) He's gorgeous, rich, brave; basically the dream guy. But what I enjoyed and what was different here is that you see a cute and insecure side of him and not some dark, mysterious and too serious type that has been used one too many times. Then we have the main protagonist; Skye. The great thing about Skye is that probably a lot of girls can relate to her because of her attitude. She has the typical traits of a teenager. Especially when she tries to antagonize Raphael regarding his so-called 'past relationships'.

The author manages to capture the romance just right without tainting it. The part when they are in Hampstead Heath was quite bittersweet. Just think of any love song that ever gave you butterflies. Throughout the story you get the sense that their friendship is gradually blossoming. I think the spark of the novel is that the romance between Skye and Raphael builds-up rather than jumping right into the deep-end from the start.

There were quite a few 'darker' scenes throughout the book as well; though Raphael and Skye's world is very different to ours now. A lot of the more 'darker' parts were cleverly written by the author as she doesn't give too much away; which in turn makes it even more sinister.

This is definitely a unique young adult novel for me. The romance, futuristic elements and the war/fighting are all meshed together perfectly. I would highly recommend people to read this and I really really hope there's a sequel!

This is probably one of the best YA novels I have ever read.

Brownlee truly has a gift with words, and created a captivating original novel. I honestly thought I had read it all when it came to the paranormal genre, but I was wrong.

The world building in the novel was phenomenal and truly made you feel like you were living in Skye's world, and what a fascinating world it was. I also loved that for once the morphing/were world was not based on being bitten or a hereditary trait, but resulted from a science experiment. I was fascinated with how the animal they got was based on what spirit animal they were.
I hope in the next book were learn how Skye's ancetors' spirit animals were determined based off the test they took. Really I just want to learn more about how Skye and Raphael's ancestors were involved, and what happened with that whole situation.

I enjoyed Skye and Raphael's relationship, even though at times I got a little frustrated with their immaturity. But in all fairness they are very young, and I think that is how a normal guy and girl in their age group would have realistically behaved. And I gotta say I enjoyed the ups and downs in their relationship, it just felt realistic. I adored the scenes were they would run together and their animals would nuzzle and play, it was just too cute and you could feel the bond between them. And OMG the secret room, that was just about the sweetest thing EVER.

Girl meets boy…not exactly. Wolf meets tiger…a unique and original plot.

How The Wolf Lost Her Heart is set in futuristic dystopian London. The author brilliantly weaves the past into her unique dystopic world. Several issues are presented including but not limited to living in a violent society, corruption and bullying. The novel is fasted paced and keeps the reader wanting more. Character development is thorough and their individual voices are identifiable. Meticulous details provide great visuals of the events.
Skye Archer and Raphael Renzo are destined to meet. But will they survive?
This story is not over in my opinion and answers to questions are needed to understand their past.
And there is something to be said about bubble breaks! Clever!

This book is awful! IT MADE ME LOSE PRECIOUS SLEEP! Just awful, I tell you!

Seriously, though. I really loved this book! It was given to me from the author in exchange for an honest review, and I'm so glad I took her up on that offer because, really, I'm the one benefiting here. Doesn't seem like a fair trade, considering.

Oh well! No trade backs!!! :P

So Skye Archer. Yeah, she had her girly emotional moments, but dang! she's a bad she-wolf with some backbone! I'm so glad she didn't just melt into Raphael's manliness. A tough heroine goes a long way in my opinion.

Oh and Raphael Renzo! Man, he was so awesome! His tiger ways and sweet words were all I needed to instantly like him! So caring and brave! Why are all the good men fictional?!

I really enjoyed the world Sarah Brownlee created. Even being 200 years into a futuristic London, it was relatable and not so far advanced that I couldn't keep up. I rather like realistic future-based stories. Quite refreshing!

Not to mention, I'm American, so I get a kick out of the little English things said. Such as "jumper" instead of 'jacket' or "kitchen towels" instead of 'paper towels' I just love it! (and yeah, I may have used my best English accent out loud once or twice)

Anyway! Well worth my time, so don't be shy to give it a try.

Well unless, of course, you actually prefer to sleep...

I liked this book. I think Sarah Brownlee shows a lot of promise as a writer. There is originality in the future she envisions, and the characters are likeable, and "fun". I hope she is working on a sequel - I want to know how Raphael and Skye's relationship develops, and how the gangs roaming London are "vanquished". A good book makes you feel something, and leaves you wanting more. "How The Wolf Lost Her Heart" did that for me!

Whoa, where to begin? This book was quite different from anything that I've read - which is wonderful! It is an amazingly original story that I absolutely devoured.

Skye is an eighteen year old girl who is a morpher - someone who can transform into an animal. She is a strong-willed young women who values her independence. Skye doesn't flaunt the fact that she is a morpher, she has experienced negative reactions from her gift and also harbors guilt over something from her past. When she meets a fellow morpher, Raphael, she learns that he wears his ability with pride.

Skye and Raphael embark on a friendship that creates a bond Skye could never have dreamed of having. Skye desperately pulls away from Raphael because she is so afraid of her feelings and doesn't think that Raphael could possibly return them. I got so frustrated with her at times for not being confident enough and just telling him how she felt! Also her quick temper brought out mine! I just loved every minute that they spent together. Both of these characters have fierce, loveable personalities that sparked a deep connection for me.

The storyline was spellbinding, engaging me from the first page. I loved that it was set in the future, on top of the paranormal aspect. Also, I loved that it is set in London, because I'm American, and I enjoy learning of landmarks and different types of slang :)
This story is exciting throughout, I never wanted to put it down. I became so invested in the characters, all of them! (well...maybe not Sasha)

I liked the writing style and dialogue. Sometimes there would be jumps between a few weeks time, and I really appreciated that because I never felt like there was any unimportant fillers.

The ending set my heart on fire! I am hoping and praying that this is not the last of Skye and Raphael. I WANT MORE!

This is one fantastic read. The author has a great and vivid way of describing the characters and story line, and needless to say but I absolutely adore the main characters. Sarah makes you feel like you have known them for some time. You will fall in love with Skye and Raphael. Their struggles make them seem real and I really enjoy that about them.

The story line is great. I love the plot and concept of approaching "weres" which is different than I have found in most books so far. The entire struggle in the book between the two good and bad is incredible. Sarah is a well versed author and has a writing style I thoroughly enjoy. The story has a very nice rhythm to it that feels neither rush nor dragged out. I devoured this book in no time and I wouldn't consider it a short read by any means.

Sadly it leaves with a bit of a cliff hanger, but I did really enjoy this book and will make sure to read the next one as soon as it comes out. This is one of those books that leaves an impression with you and that you will remember for some time.

I really recommend this to the lovers of paranormal especially the ones who enjoy a nice little romance mixed in.

WoW. Just wow! I loved this book! Sara Brownlee did an amazing job creating this wonderful world! "How the Wolf Lost Her Heart" kept me wanting more and was exciting from beginning to end! The story take place two centuries from now in a very different London, where the city is falling apart. Thugs run rampant, to murder and pillage as they see fit, distroying everyone and thing arould them. Skye and Raphael are at the heart of this brilliant story. I felt deeply connected to both, and the character development was so great that I felt like I knew them from the very beginning. Skye is a morpher and that's what originally brings the two together. I enjoyed reading the banter between the two, and especially enjoyed how Skye's temper always get the best of her (I swear i was laughing out loud through a good three quarters of this book!). Skye and Raphael's love story was very sweet but, at times I wanted to shake them both for not being honest with one another! This story has everything a novel should have; friendship, sexy twin brothers, a few nasty antagonists, a mean girl, a goofy but down right loyal BFF, but most importantly LOVE! This is not your garden variety shifter novel, in fact it was much more then that! It is better! I would recommend this to all YA and paranormal romance lovers! It will not disappoint!

A running wolf and a very sexy tiger meet. Skye is a 18 year old girl with a heart of gold, Raphael is a very rich, and handsome fellow and the two of them develop a friendship. This story took me a long time to finish only because I did not want to finish the story. I am hoping that there is a sequel. Skye is a morpher who transforms into a wolf. She is a very strong willed young woman and independence is what is true to her. She accepts who she is even though that past of what happened still haunts her. Raphael is the opposite of Skye, he is very open about who he is and doesn’t feel ashamed of it. The two of them develop a friendship and the bond between these two are very strong. Skye is very afraid of getting close to Raphael and exposing her dark secret. Skye was on character that I yelled at very frequently. Sometimes I felt she was kind of wishy washy with what she wanted. The story was very compelling and it was big page turner for me. I am hoping that this is not the last we see Skye and Raphael. The writing style of this book was pure eloquence I thought that this book could not have been written any better. I would recommend this book to anyone

How The Wolf Lost Her Heart was a fun and exciting read. I felt like I was on a futuristic adventure with Skye moving through the streets of London. It was intense to see the world building and how it differs from current times, between the gangs running the streets and peoples "tags", it was unique. I also found the idea of how a person got a "spirit animal" to be intriguing, and how "spirit animals" came to be. I liked the fact some science was thrown in there, it wasn't a natural biological adaptation.

Our main heroine Skye is a young woman, she's fiercely independent with a quick temper and shaky self-esteem. I found her to be lovable, she's like any other 18 year old girl, she's still unsure of herself. Skye hides the fact she's got a spirit animal, she's afraid of being rejected again because of it. To her it seems more like an unwanted condition like acne at the beginning, even though she relies on her wolfs strength at times. Our hero is Raphael, a guy in his 20s who happens to also have a spirit animal. Raphael wants everyone to know he's capable of becoming something more, he doesn't hide it. He's also extremely popular with the ladies and feared by many.

I enjoyed the book, I can definitely see this becoming a series easily. There were a lot of original ideas blowing around through the story. I'd recommend to anyone who likes fantasy, dystopia, some romance and of course shifters.

Wonderful Book!!!
I've read a lot of YA shifter books and this is really good. Even if this is only. debut book, the storyline is quite unique. It's really what you would anticipate teens would be like. The character's background and attitude supports their action in the story. The romance is more for the younger generation though. I mean it's their ideal relationship but reality at the character's age and experience you would expect more mature and responsible characters. Aside from that though, I would say that the book is really enjoyable to read. It's the kind of book where you just let the story flow and not make your head bleed in trying to understand too many description and too much read between the lines. Like!

This book is way different than any book I have read so far but I loved it. There are a few pieces of dialogue that I would have left out which is why I only gave 4 stars, but other than the few pieces I would have removed I found it to be witty and amusing. I loved the references to modern day events, ie, the 2014 world cup and the 2012 Olympics. I got so sucked into it that I ended up staying awake til 4.30am because I couldn't bear to put it down before I got to the end. Looking forward to the next instalment

Normally this kind of book is not up my alley. But just after reading the first few pages describe the back story. I knew i would have to see how the book ended. Without giving anything away the story is deep and the characters loveable. This book and the idea of being able to change into a spirit animal was a refreshing read. I would not be surprised if one day this got adapted for a movie. Definitely an enjoyable read and i will be waiting for the sequel.

...This is probably the best R2R book I have ever read. I loved it ...

Let's start with the part I didn't love as much:

My only problem was I think Skye overreacted a couple times to situations going on between her and Raphael. I am not sure her anger was justified for the first few times and I was a little frustrated with her.

However here are all the things I loved:

Raphael. I don't think I need to say more. He was dreamy and a very worthy book-boyfriend.

Skye was a strong, fierce, independent heroine. Pretty much, she was kick ass.

The morphers idea mixed with that of a dystopia worked well together and made a very interesting environment for the story to take place. Not many stories I've read are similar to this plot line and setting. It was unique and kept me on my toes.

The romance was great and I am glad it wasn't instalove. That's all I going to say about that, as this is a spoiler free review.
