A taste of the story behind the C’mon Funk Series In 2008, I achieved a rare distinction. I became the only “First Lady” in America to be legally banned from the City Hall office where her husband, the mayor, worked. Suddenly, a little nobody like me could be seen on Good Morning America and Fox and Friends, heard on NPR, and read about in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post and The Guardian in the United Kingdom. Even Rush Limbaugh did a lengthy piece about this lowly wife and mother – eww! So it is, that I have some experience in the seedier side of politics.
