Lars retired to the country and struggled to feed himself. After three years, the grid shut down and the economy crumbled forcing Eileen to flee the city. She was not prepared for her trek, but somehow stumbled onto Lars' farm, and they work together to make the best of their situation. Hoards of marauders also find Lars' farm and his neighbors. The invaders have little food or hunting skills so what Lars, Eileen and their neighbors are able to provide for themselves look inviting to the hungry desperados.
