It's Just One of Those Days by Melissa Burke is a well written story that pulled me in immediately. The opening pages are about the main character Liz and she is talking directly to me, sharing her every thought. Liz is having 'one of those days' where nothing goes right from the moment she wakes up until the end of her day, working at the neighborhood pizza shop. It is late, she has had an exceptionally bad day and she is walking the few blocks to her home, when a car pulls alongside of her and someone kidnaps her. Liz finds herself in a huge empty warehouse, locked in a cage. Liz was kept caged for over a week and I shared in her hunger, her fear, her confusion, and the surprises that awaited her. Liz is pretty sure this is the end of her young life and she will be murdered at any minute. As I read, I hoped some miracle would save her life.   

Melissa Burke wrote It's Just One of Those Days as a very suspenseful story with unexpected twists and turns. It’s not very long, but it is filled with all of the things that will make it a bestselling book. I found myself glued to my Kindle and unable to put it down. Melissa Burke is a natural storyteller and It's Just One of Those Days is a must-read.
