Life hasn’t always been easy for 13 year old Katherine (Kat). Her dad died when she was young, they struggled to make ends meet, and recently her mother remarried and moved them to a new home far away from her friends. Being miserable and lonely, she was allowed to adopt a dog from the local shelter. She chooses Kit, a shy, nervous, funny looking, older puppy that no body wanted. Kit, as Kat found out, has a special gift, a very powerful nose. Together they become an unlikely search and rescue team that save people, uncover mysteries, and solve crimes in their new town.
