In the heart of the Lowland country, on the continent of Sortakoa, a young knight named Kinai, finds himself and his city caught in the middle of a struggle for territory, between a benevolent king of kings from the distant kingdom of Kyros, who holds that mankind should not be ruled by kings and emperors but should rule himself, and a traitorous servant, Sidonin, who steadfastly disagrees with the king's ideals, and seeks to capture the whole of the country as its supreme ruler. The city of Endrell, once overflowing with life and freedom, has become a haven for treachery and uncertainty under the rule of one named Abominias, who holds Endrell captive until the arrival of the imperial city of Gis, the Red Empire, governed by emperor Sidonin. Kinai and his knights are all that's left of the good of Endrell that was, but is no more, and fight daily to maintain the liberty that once belonged to the people of the Lowlands. In order to ensure that evil is permanently removed from the land, Kinai must consort with the King of Kyros, and spark an alliance between them that will prove extremely pivotal in the release of the city of Endrell from tyranny and enslavement.
