Reviews
Goodreads

Layla Learns to be Brave is a cute story about a little girl from Australia—how she learns to defeat her shyness and try something new. It is the first book in the Layla Down Under series. Layla is a smart kid who suddenly finds herself in a difficult position when her Mum tells her about a singing club. She is unsure about joining the club and imagines she might slip up while singing with the other members. But her friends Penny and Zoe have joined the club and not wishing to be alone during recess, she takes the chance.
This chapter book is learning made fun. Every child faces some challenges in school and they need to learn the tricks to make the best of each day. This book teaches children how to get ready for school, how to help Mummy bake, how to cope with different emotions and interact with friends. The story also introduces children to some birds and their extraordinary features. As a bonus, it has some rhymes and songs your kids will absolutely love! All of this is very well packaged into a story that will hold your child’s attention. By the time they finish reading, they will receive a confidence boost and they might even want to try something new very soon! The author has kept it very simple and this simplicity is essential for children’s books. The illustrations are amazing and every page has new illustrations. This will definitely encourage children to proceed with the story and there is no question of boredom.
Don’t hesitate to gift your little ones this awesome book. I bet they will be humming new songs while waiting for Layla’s new adventure! I teach little kids and I’m certainly going to keep this book for their next story session!
