This book is a must read for all who wish to know what is going on the minds of the working dogs / service dogs, and how they grow up to do what they do. — I have always admired service dogs. They are absolutely amazing.
I loved the book ... This book, based on a great blog, follows the stories of several puppies as they grow up in their puppy raiser home for Canine Companions for Independence. And the stories are all told from the point of view of the dogs. Many of the stories will make you laugh, a few will make you cry, and all will give you tons of respect for those people who volunteer their time to be puppy raisers.
Offered in a remarkably affordable paperback version, as well as for the Kindle and Nook, Let the Dogs Speak is an entertaining collection of adventures as seen from a CCI puppy's point of view. (All of the author's royalties will be donated to CCI). Of course, I highly recommend the tome to lovers of all things Dog .... Some cute, cute, cute illustrations by Penny Blankenship will keep you flipping through the pages, too.
Let the Dogs Speak! is altogether clever and creative, fun and informative, and eminently readable. The book is full of observations and commentary about the life and times of Canine Companion trainees. It’s a good little book, light but serious, colorful and original, well written and recommended.
