Lethal Revenge by Glenis Kellet is a clean, cozy, and absolutely delightful whodunnit. I completely enjoyed this mystery as a relaxing weekend read. Lethal Revenge takes place in a small and quiet sleepy village which becomes more interwoven with a string of murders in the locale.

This was a perfect book to curl up with for a weekend read. The author’s writing style kept this reader on the edge as I tried to solve the mystery and the connection between villagers. Ms. Kellet has a knack for dotting her mysteries with clues so the reader can be an active participant.

DCI Alex Crawford and DI Sam Johnson weave in and out of the book as they are lead investigators. Sometimes the reader has inklings that they are seeing clues before the investigators. I love the way Ms. Kellet does this in her mysteries. (This is the second book by Ms. Kellet that I have read.) Sometimes the clues are dead ends. Other times, the clues are puzzling as the reader knows the clue fits in but can’t deduce how until later in the book. Lethal Revenge is pure entertainment.

If you are looking for a great cozy mystery, I highly recommend Lethal Revenge!

I have read all three of Author Glenis Kellet’s previous books, (The Village Narcissist, Faith in Love, and Falsely Accused of the Unthinkable), and she has won me over through her masterful style of writing. I am a fan. But after reading Lethal Revenge, I’ve become more than just a fan; I’m now a follower of this talented storyteller.

Lethal Revenge invites the reader into life in a typical English village, with its myriad gardens, activities, and warm, welcoming way of life. The author describes country life so well, you feel as if you’re part of the story. Although village life appears to be serene and pure on the surface, there is a dark, underside; the inhabitants of which are always watching, waiting for an opportunity to strike down the innocent.

Follow DCI Crawford as he and his partner delve into the dark underbelly of village life as they pursue pure evil. Evil that is closer than either of them realize. You will be shocked along with the intrepid detectives when the truth is finally discovered.

Get ready for an exciting read that may leave you breathless as the author weaves a tightly knit series of twists and turns; and an ending that will knock you out of your seat! But be prepared. This book is exciting, and fast paced, so you may want to clear your schedule.
