The author writes each line from her heart, her love of not only her dogs but all dogs, especially rescue dogs shines through on each and every page. The story moves quickly and is enjoyable to adults as well as children. I look forward to reading more adventures of Lexie. The author has a poignant understanding of each one of her dogs.This book should be in every pet store, veterinarian and shelter as well as regular bookstores.

Beautiful and heartfelt !! After reading this book, I wanted to join Janice, Lexi and her other dogs for a romp on the beach. My daughter who works with young children thought this book would make a great movie. Janice and her rescue dogs are already stars in our hearts ~ looking forward to many more books by this wonderful author. (I purchased three. Two for gifts and one to keep for myself!)

A delightful story by a gifted author who has a great appreciation of dogs and has clearly written from the heart. This beautifully illustrated work will tug at the heartstrings of dog lovers of all ages, especially those who have experience with rescue dogs.
