‘Love is Forever’ by Casey Rislov is a very aptly named book because that is indeed the central message. It deals with the loss of a loved one and inspires children to see that the love they shared with that special person will never die; it will go in their memory and in the life they lead.
Love is Forever is a beautiful book, each page a little story in itself. The illustrations are detailed, tender and super-sweet and deliver the message of the book effortlessly. The words offer re-assurance in a very simple way, that love survives loss

Casey Rislov’s book, Love is Forever, won Gold (1st place) in the Children’s Picture Book category. The book came out November 2013 and was illustrated by Rachael Balsaitis. The beautifully illustrated story has a family of owls who cherish their love and time with friends and family. This is a tender hearted story about love and loss but how to keep love alive in the present and in the future through shared memories and traditions.
Yes, books can inspire young minds and books can change peoples' lives. Throughout history, books truly have been "changing the world, one book at a time," and they continue to do so today. It's the spirit of helping others learn and grow that matters, and that spirit is what the Living Now Book Awards are all about.
