In this graphic novel, a rock’n’roll road trip on a half-baked quest turns sour when a love triangle forms and a friendship falls apart. It starts with a rushed journey from England to California in 1978 on a madcap mission. It ends with a car crash and a vanishing. The tale interweaves fact and fiction taking in music clubs, drugs, gangsters, Devo and Robert Crumb. The tale is told in a mash-up of visual styles, interweaving fact and fiction. Using appropriated imagery, much like the punk art of the time, the found artworks have been adapted to tell the story.
