Manner of the Sundog is a geopolitical Sci-Fi adventure (Polar Opera) about a young physicist native to a post-modern Antarctica. The story depicts cultural and political struggles of the Annortic people following a century of intense climate change, land avulsion, war and social discord. Young science prodigy, Bane Elrick, is thrown into conflict between the Annortics governing body, ICS, and an imperialistic Union controlled by GRANT Corp., an aggressive multinational resource and trade company.

Set mainly around the city of Ellsworth on the beautiful west coast of Antarctica, the ICS has become the target of espionage and brutal attacks carried out by Grant's private Lynx Army in an attempt to recover land rights and the lost secrets of powerful technology vital to their ambition to control the world’s economy. Soon their conflicts evolve into a Hi-Tech war as Bane is forced into uncontrolled situations that require complex solutions.  Bane Elrick tells his story of life, love, greed, and his rise to leadership of the world’s most exclusive continent and sovereign nation… Antarctica.
