Marine Corps Heroes Volume III, part of a 9-volume set, contains the citations for all awards of the Navy Cross to U.S. Marines from the Korean War to present. It also includes the citations for all awards of the Army Distinguished Service Cross to U.S. Marines in history. In addition to the award citation, many recipients' entries include a photo, biographical notes, place/date of birth, Home Town at time of service, and date of death and burial location when known. Several Appendixes parse out data of interest such as those recipients who attended or graduated from a military academy, awards by rank, awards by unit, and recipients by State and Hometown.
