Growing up being different is hard, especially when there are visible signs to set you apart. When you have a learning disability to boot, and don't even know it, life can become hell. Parents aren't perfect, they make mistakes, most of the time with good intentions. Children can be cruel, and family can sometimes be blind, to the pain of a child. Especially if they hide it well.
