I met Bonnie Phelps during the Sacramento Love & Fifty author event Feb 2018 and I purchased this book My Rodeo Man to test drive her work. I have to say I am not a big contemporary romance fan.
This book really impressed me. Rich storyline, well rounded characters, realistic situations and an inspiring world based on just being human with the desire to find that one special some to spend a lifetime with.
No crazy extreme situations, lots of fun banter and teasing between people growing and knowing each other. Not to mention I LOVED the sexual tension and playfulness between our main characters.
It was a pleasure meeting Bonnie and I am so happy I took a chance on a new series. Planning on buying the next one and finding out more on those Kincaid Boys. So worth reading.
Lots of information about rodeos, interesting, not the filled-up for my quota kind of facts. The author also described her environment in such details you can almost smell the roses. I laughed, I cringed, I wondered, I doubted. No suspense, no mystery since this is a feel-good romance story. My Rodeo Man could also have been aptly named The Southern Belle and the Cowboy. My first book with B. Phelps and looking forward to read Book 2 My Sexy Veterinarian.
