After reading My Sexy Veterinarian, I was really curious about Josh, so I was glad to get an early copy of this book. Josh doesn’t quite fit with his gregarious ranching and rodeo family, preferring to stay in the background and write computer code. He just wants to earn a decent living, take care of his son, and move past his divorce. Somehow, he catches the eye of the auburn-hair beauty, Fiona, who works at the same company, but his life is a bit messy with his ex-wife threatening to move his son across the country. Still, he likes getting to know Fiona, but is the drive and ambition she exhibits the same as his ex-wife's, and the thing that was largely responsible for his marriage failing?

Josh's story was everything I anticipated, and more. I adored Josh, but what's not to love about a quiet, sexy, nerdy, motorcycle riding single dad? The scars from his divorce and his hint of vulnerability only served to humanize him and make him that much more likable. Fiona was a terrific heroine – intelligent, beautiful, ambitious and considerate, and just exactly what Josh needed. Each of the Kincaid brothers’ books stands alone, so you can start with this one and then pick up the others. This author has a way of painting beautiful word pictures and creating realistic, endearing characters, and you won’t be disappointed with her work.

XO2read

My first book by this author and I enjoyed this emotional read. It was well written, well thought out and flowed nicely. It had many heartwarming as well as heartbreaking moments. This story is about Josh and Fiona. Josh is a loner computer engineer going through a bitter custody battle for his four year old son with his ex but is an amazing and committed dad. Fiona is a coworker although she has a background in education but hasn’t been able to find work in her area of expertise. They are attracted immediately and start to date. Fiona quickly falls in love with Josh’s little boy and not only fully supports him as he battles his ex but also does what she can to help. They follow Josh’s ex after he loses the first battle and Josh concern for his son worsens. I enjoyed that Josh was a bit shy in this book and Fiona was “don’t mess with me” and never wavered in her support or love for Josh as he faced the hardest battle of his life. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
