Introducing a new nap-time favorite, Nap-A-Roo. There are countless children’s board books about bedtime but few books specifically geared toward napping, one of the most integral part of a baby or toddler’s daily routine. Nap-A-Roo is a fun, colorful, quick read perfect for children 0-4 years of age. The quirky characters make little ones smile as they run for their beds to take a nap. With large fonts and rhythmic text, adults enjoy reading this modern classic. Nap-A-Roo is a wonderful addition to any child’s book collection and will quickly become a nap-time necessity!
“It’s time for a nap-a-roo,/ just like the kangaroo,” begins this nap-encouraging board book from first-time author Kurjan, which is built around rhymes with a long “oo” sound. Readers learn that the kangaroo in question—who wears a striped neckerchief and carries a purple stuffed animal in its pouch—“lives in the zoo.../ In Timbuktu.../ With a dog named Lou” and other animals. While the rhymes aren’t especially imaginative, Parker’s cheery and polished digital cartoons show real talent, and the book maintains a sense of fun (including a “Coo Coo Ka Choo” dance break) from start to finish. Up to age 3. (BookLife) Reviewer

"I bought this book at a small bookstore this summer in a small town on Lake Michigan in northern Michigan. I have a 2 year old daughter and we've made a routine of reading Nap-A-Roo before nap time everyday. She loves the book so much she says Nap-A-Roo as we go up the stairs for her nap! Its illustrations are great and the my daughter loves the rhyming. I don't know what it is about this book but she just loves it so much! I bought this book because I love supporting self published authors but I never imagined my daughter would take to it so much. its by far her favorite book. A must buy!" -A reviewer from

"What a great book! My kids love too listen to me read and now they can read along with this brilliantly put together rhyming scheme. My kids love books they can read along with and this one allows them to do exactly that. When you hear the word "Again" you know the book is a winner. I highly recommend this book!" -CMJ

Hobbs Goblin Book Review

Nap time! The amazing moment when your child blissfully drifts to sleep for enough time to get your laundry done and dishes cleaned...maybe. See, My son Gabriel hasn't napped since he was 1 year old, but I digress. We are here to talk about a new children's book... "Nap-A-Roo" by Kristy Kurjan and Illustrated by Tyler Parker.

"Admittedly, I have an extra soft spot for this book, as Kristy is from my neck of the woods in northern Michigan. But fondness for region aside, this book holds its own. My 3 year old son Gabriel really liked this book. He is a tough sell...I know because he stamped the approval on my book. The book is really engaging and colorful and you couldn't wipe the smile off of Gabe's face when he saw the Kangaroo. I would recommend this book to anyone with children." ...."I give it 5 stars!"
