K.A. Finn, author
A part of her died when she lost him... Commander Terra Rush has spent the last eight months mourning Gryffin, believing he died when his ship crashed. When he returns to her, broken and scarred from months of torture at the hands of the Foundation, it feels like a miracle. At first. His unpredictable mechanical cyborg side, reawakened by the brutality he endured as a prisoner, threatens to destroy him. He's lost the trust of the colonists. Has he lost part of himself as well? Her need to protect her ravaged heart puts distance between them when they need to depend on each other the most. If the colonists are to survive, they need Gryffin to reunite the Nomad and stand with them...and he needs Terra's help to do so. But time and tragedy have changed them both so much. Can they find their way back to each other before everything they know is destroyed?

Nemesis, the Nomad Series Book 2, by K.A. Finn focuses on the relationship between half man-half machine Gryffin and ex-Federation officer Terra Rush. Presumed dead, Gryffin returns to find Terra has moved on with her life ... without him, but not without regret. They fight to rebuild a relationship while faced head on with enemy attacks that threaten the lives of everyone they know.

This cyborg romance is a prime example of an expertly written space opera filled with adventure, romance, drama and interlocking plot lines that come together in an engaging book that you will not want to put down. K.A. Finn's Nomad Series is going strong with the continuing saga of Gryffin and Terra in Nemesis. They battle against a common foe, but perhaps the more interesting fight is Gryffin's battle with his own emotions. Guilt over the lives he has taken, concern for the safety of the people he loves, and the deep-seated anger that comes from a lifetime spent as a lab rat to a sadistic scientist wounds Gryffin's relationships as much as the metal attached to his flesh damages his body.

Gryffin is the type of strong but flawed hero that women dream about. His ability to fight through the pain and hold the love of a good woman is what every man aspires toward. Put these two elements together in an exotic, war-driven setting, add a liberal dose of close friends and loyal followers, and the sum total is the type of story that will stay with you long after the final chapter. I can't wait read the next installment of the Nomad Series.
