Overcome Hoarding and Transform Your Life: How to Choose Hope and Life Instead of Things
Overcome Hoarding and Transform Your Life helps adults who want to stop hoarding to be able to do so by providing a wealth of insights and resources. Drawn from my 50 years of experience in working with people who hoard and five years of teaching classes with the same title as the book, the material is, as one of my students put it, "inspirational guidance for preventing hoarding-related crises, for mental, physical, and emotional recovery, and for building a happy, healthy life without hoarding."

This is a very interesting, readable, and user-friendly approach to understanding the psychology that underlies hoarding. It allowed me to see, understand, and disentangle myself from unhelpful thought patterns. I have benefitted tremendously from the content of this book with its step-by-step method that actively involved and engaged me with written exercises, which gradually led me to lead an improved life, less encumbered by "things" and more focused on other interests, people, activities and ideas. Liberating!
