Great book and awesome characters! I loved the cat shapeshifters! Debbie Manber Kupfer is a gifted writer who brings a whole new world together in this book. I found myself immersed in a world of heartbreaking loss, magic and undiscovered talents.Miri Katz (clever pun) is a cat shifter, when her gran dies she is left to an uncle who doesn't want her. Left in a private school with no friends and a new power she doesn't understand Miri turns to the strange Wolf who appears and leads her into a whole new world, the world of P.A.W.S.Debbie Manber Kupfer did a great job with the characters and the villain in this book. They were so creative and so frighting! My favourite character was the kangaroo Joey, he hopped from group to group everyone's friend.the villain in this one was awesome! he stalked, he taunted, he prayed on the weak. he was the ultimate villain! I bet there could have been a whole book written just on him. Debbie Manber Kupfer did a amazing job with his character and I for one would love to learn more about him and why he was the way he was.I loved learning about these characters and would love to see more books, Lilith intrigued me and her back story would make an excellent next book as would Mandy or Josh.
