I thoroughly enjoyed this debut novel! It's always exciting to discover a new author.
The story follows Eselle, a fearless young woman fighting to right an injustice done to her family when she was only a child. On her journey, she befriends a pregnant woman, Cristar and must protect her when pregnancy is suddenly outlawed by the tyrannical king. Their adventures include kidnappings, daring escapes, tense fight scenes, new friendships, and even a love story. All cleverly woven together in this well written, fast-paced novel.
Kyr was the villain I loved to hate. After some exciting twists and turns, I didn't know whether to love him or hate him for a while. No spoilers, I'll let you decide for yourself! This book was such a page turner, and did not disappoint. I am definitely looking forward to more of this world and more from this author. Five stars, would recommend!!
