On November 26th, 2016, Ezekiel Walker left his home, family, friends, and all that he knew and loved to travel nine hours away in pursuit of a new career opportunity. Once Walker arrived, he unfortunately discovered the job was a complete sham and had to figure out what to do next while stranded in a city where he knew no one, recognized nothing, and possessed even less. Being an avid writer for nearly ten years, Walker began to jot down his experiences each day along with a poem to encapsulate the many unforeseen challenges and hardships faced. What would culminate is a powerfully introspective look at what it was like to claw, struggle, and survive in the face of insurmountable odds. Walker guides the reader through the highs and lows, moments of candor, and unexpected glimpses into how this period of time tested not only his resolve, but his very will to live.
