Shadow Core - The Legacy

Adult; Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror; (Market)

Light speed is no longer a limit. AI is no longer a dream. And for some, death is no longer the end!

The Dead Zone appeared in the Sol system at the dawn of the 4th Age, and to this day it serves as a perpetual reminder of a dark moment in human history: the battle that claimed the lives of thousands and disrupted the very fabric of space.

The conflict was brief but devastating, leaving behind the shattered fragments of the Solarian Union’s Second Fleet, the lifeless hulls of a convoy of civilian ships and countless questions about who or what could have been responsible for such an atrocity.

Nearly a century later, Kade's destiny is forever altered when she steps inside an ancient 'derelict' spaceship located at the heart of the Dead Zone.

What secrets does the 'derelict' hold? And why does the Union seek to destroy it?

Reviews
Mrs I V Sharman

This is a book that draws you in right from the beginning and throws up lots of questions that require answers. The author takes you on an action-packed adventure that ranges from peaceful rural scenes to violent spaceship battles. There are plenty of interesting characters with some really intriguing background stories, which are never black and white. I even (kind of) felt sorry for the baddies! The theme of how AI and family might mix and fit together in a future society runs through the whole story, giving some thought-provoking insights on humans' relationship to technology (from the mundane to the complex). At the end of the book we are still left with a few more mysteries to unravel - so looking forward to the next book in the Trilogy.
