This is the story of a young man's journey to both his old neighborhood and into his past, illuminating his familial history and past lives as well. A cast of vividly drawn, very literate characters populate this shamanic road-trip through a nineties America seen through the eyes of Tony, a veteran musician. Saturated with enough high concepts and Jungian symbolism for a book twice it's length, with plenty of surreal vignettes and parts so weird they probably didn't take much fictionalization keep up the pace. The use of music is so powerful it feels like an accompanying sound-track at times. So hop in with Tony, it's a hell of a ride.
Great book

I Love this book, it was deep, smart, well written. You’ll learn a thing or two by the end.
