Terror on the Tundra
Jim Miller, author
Gene Putnam is a prodigy, the youngest PhD at the University of Alaska and resident prehistoric mammal geek. He’s an unlikely hero, sent to investigate reports of a bizarre animal attack in a remote native village on Alaska’s North Slope. The bites resemble those of an ancient carnivore but the reality is even less likely. These creatures are actually highly-evolved descendants of Viking war dogs shipwrecked on a desolate island twelve hundred years ago. Now a pack of these giant dogs have crossed the frozen Arctic Ocean to terrorize the town just as a blizzard sweeps out of polar darkness.
