Bob is a fun-loving little goat. He was smaller and a different color than the other goats, so he was bullied and shunned. Bob escapes from the farm. However, he is clueless about the outside world, and his curiosity leads him to constant trouble. His life changes when he meets Babe, a wise, old wolf dog. Bob wants to find a family who will love and respect him, while Babe is searching for her lost owner. The story shifts to the Lopez family who want to escape from discrimination in rural South Carolina and six year old Louis from class room bullying. The three animals, aided by Jose Lopez, rescue three Citadel cadets from a raging flood-driven river which makes them famous and leads to the fulfillment of their dreams.
