Ben is a soldier who cannot remember anything about his life. Rachel is his friend, a young girl that motivates him to talk about what is going on in his head during the group meetings that she runs. Jet is a teenager, fed up with her parents she decides to take her own life, only to wake up in what she thinks is a rehabilitation center. She is immediately drawn to Ben and through interactions with him, she starts to be the inspirations that unlocks his repressed memories.
I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this YA novel. It started out as a teen story of depression and addiction issues and started to bring out a fun paranormal storyline that included angels and monsters. The story hops from each of the three main characters points of view, which I liked because I was able to see full dimensions of each character. I could feel with them and take the journey alongside them, knowing exactly what each one was thinking.
I give this book 3.5 stars, it was an excellent effort and storyline, however I really felt like there could have just been more. At points it felt a little choppy and rushed in some parts. However I still recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a paranormal story with real teen issues
