I am a clinical psychiatrist with forty years of experience working in the mental health field. Throughout my life I have had many paranormal experiences which could not be explained by conventional science. Many people who have paranormal, anomalous, or spiritual experiences have not talked about their experiences for fear of being thought of as weird or strange. These phenomena include near-death and out-of-body experience, visions, voices, ESP, telepathy, premonitions, and precognitive dreams. In my book, I discuss the difference between psychic and psychotic. My goal is to expand the borders of normal and give people the courage to talk about their experiences without fear or embarrassment.
