GoodReads

This was a very clever and insightful read. I enjoyed the way the author found mirth in the bureacracy of modern academic institutions and I was drawn in to the journey of the main character. I felt so sorry for 'Simon' who had such great expectations of his exchange but then found himself stuck in a mire. The characters around Simon were interesting and were shrewdly narrated. The language used was a very accurate reflection of modern 'woke' life and made me laugh, but it was bittersweet because it was all so true!
