The Eclipse Dancer is a character and relationship-driven fantasy very loosely based on the Ojibwa tradition of nature spirits, particularly the Wild Hare. Andy returned home after years of estrangement to care for her alcoholic mother who was dying. And while she cared for her mother, she remembered the summer of her thirteenth year, the year she discovered that her father was a wild hare nature spirit, that she had supernatural kin who lived in the woods, and that she had some special non-human abilities. But most importantly, it was the summer of her first love. The Eclipse Dancer is a story of loss, despair, anger and reconciliation.
