Because of his job, Agent Grayson Quinn had already lost his partner, his wife, and his daughter. So, when his ex-wife is killed in a car accident and his estranged daughter has to move in with him, he’s hardly equipped to be of any comfort to her. But when his former partner, Alaina Morgan, calls him for help on a case, Quinn sees a chance to repair at least one relationship in his life and to do what he does best—solve a murder. The killer, in a series of revenge murders, targets one family. He displays their bodies like scenes from the gruesome acts in Grimm’s fairytales. Quinn has to follow the taunting clues the madman leaves behind and discovers the last victim on the list is Emily. Quinn protects her, and even though he’s inept at emotions and the agency would frown upon it, he falls for her. She’s the only woman able to bridge the gap between him and his kid. But when the killer kidnaps his daughter, Quinn is forced to adhere to his terms: to get his daughter back, he must surrender Emily.
