Nine-year-old Clara Gooday sits under a starry sky on the back porch of her family's bed & breakfast. Her eyes widen with excitement as she listens to her Aunt Tilly's tall tale of the foggy morning when Tilly first saw these magical little people. But when Clara meets the Jacks, she is awed by the fact that Fun-G- kins really do exist. Clara and Tilly aide the Jacks in getting back their magic mushroom? So the Jacks reward them by shrinking them down to size. Then they are whisked off to the magical, mythical land of Mushroom Valley. There they see things and creatures never before seen by any human. All her life, Clara has had dreams that seem as real as life itself. She doesn't know it, but all her dreams are actually visions of things to come. Soon she will have to deal with her new neighbor, the seven foot tall, evil Mr. Mustashio and his dog, Snodsty. But why have he and his sly talking dog come to Pirates Cove? Who is Clara? What secret does she hold? What if she is part of the legend foretold? With her magic telescope in hand, she can become invisible at will. Clara's plan is to watch every move the tall, skinny man and his talking dog make. She is sure he's working for the leprechauns and out to capture her friends, the FunGkins. Clara has a few tricks of her own. However, to stop Mr. Mustashio and the leprechauns, she’s going to need every one of them because the Shangaar leprechauns are coming to enslave the FunGkins once again, but this time there will be war!
