The first thing that drew me to this book was the cover. I like cute covers. Couldn't pass up on the puppy and cookies. When I first started the book I was not sure if I was going to enjoy it. But, then I reached a point where I could not put the book down. I lost some sleep with this book. Yes, we spent the night together. The author kept me engaged, wanting to discover more about this knitting club and their rules. The women each tell a heartfelt story which forms a bond with the reader. The characters are well-formed. The story is written well with a few chuckles. The recipes sound delicious. They are a nice bonus. I definitely recommend this one.

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones is such a breath of fresh air. It is quite unique, but if I had to compare I'd say it is kind of like a funny romance Stepford Wives. I don't want to give anything away, but it follows Ann Jones as she transitions to her new town, and it tells the stories of her new friends(?) from this knitting club(?) she joins. The characters in this town are hilarious. I've never read a book with such a colorful array of characters; I kind of fell in love with all of them. The plot and writing are fantastic.
It was the book I didn't know I was looking for. I've read it twice now, and it just gets better each time. I really hope it is made into a movie; it is that good!

The Future Diary of Ann Jones is well written and has many levels— romance, mystery, recipes, and humor. Made me smile. The female characters within the knitting circle share their own personal stories that pull at your heart. The action builds to a twist at the end. A good read.

This was a great read. Ann Jones has a vision that her beloved husband is going to die and she is going to move to the East Coast and join a knitting club that doesn't knit, and she'll be happier than ever. The story is told by Ann's friend, in a letter to her sister. That makes it very unique and makes you feel like you're part of an inner circle, getting the good gossip. Once I got into it, I couldn't put the book down. It gets you dang hooked! It's got a little bit of everything - romance, humor, mystery and suspense. The characters were vibrant and loveable and worked their way into my heart. Something about the context of letter writing and the humor of the author reminded me a touch of Jane Austen. Maybe that's just me. I also loved Honey, the blonde cocker spaniel because I have one too!

Recommended by a friend and far afield from my normal interests, The Future Memoir proved well worth my time. Really fun read - perfect for summertime. The "vision" of Ann Jones transports the recent widow to a new town, new friends, and very new experiences. Curiously, her new acquaintances have more in common than pets, socializing together and their own common backgrounds. Coincidence? The book kept me guessing until the surprising twists at the very end. I'm looking forward to Ms. Bailey's next adventure.

One of the most unique, fun, quirky, intriguing and delightful books I have read in some time! I broke my never-stay-up-past-10 pm rule because of this darling book. I also could see a sequel to this book as I have so many questions however, the ending is complete and so uniquely done. This author has an interesting voice and I will most definitely read more of her work! The cover is an absolute perfect depiction of the story within!
Remarkable!
Thank you Alex Bailey :-)

What a unique and fabulous story! Alex has used humour, great characters, and a touch of the macabre to create this unusual and ‘I can’t put it down’ story. I think there’s sequel potential here...

"If you've read The Girl Next Door or Gone Girl, The Future Memoir of Ann Jones is in the same format. I was engaged from the beginning, attempting to guess what would happen next. I didn't, so I just couldn't stop reading. The twists and turns, along with the humor, entertained me until I thought there was nothing else that Alex Bailey could surprise me with. I was wrong. So get a glass of a tasty drink and a few bits of chocolate and relax with The Future Memoir of Ann Jones."
