The Gardens of Ailana
Edward Fahey, author

Some will hate it and some with love it because it digs into the ugly truths like the abuse of children by fundamentalist Christian cults. It exposes the darkness we all carry inside us. The twisted childhoods that still cripple us. And how in facing them down for our own healing we find that maybe forgiveness isn't called for.

"Sometimes everything inside us must be torn apart if we are ever going to find our ways through to what is truly worth keeping."

The Gardens of Ailana is written from a place of such an understanding of healing, not just the physical, but the spiritual soul lessons we have agreed to be here to learn. Instead of running from them, we learn to embrace them for the opportunity they provide to challenge our soul's growth. Ed is one of the most amazing healers in his own right; as a gifted writer, the combination of wit and wisdom is so skillfully channelled into his works. I think that his books should be required reading in high schools. They would provide for a lot of healthy discussions. He is so up to date on the pulse of spiritual recovery. His work is like a tailor's, stitching together our hearts and souls, as he works his needle carefully through the fabric of his characters' development. Here is a writer that you can read his entire series of books for the summer!
