I enjoyed how this book brought us back to the past and into the 1500's. This was a time period that I had always been interested in ever since I started reading Shakespeare. I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare and have enjoyed his plays. This book took an interesting turn as Shakespeare is a main character in the book. In England, Shakespeare is ordered to appear before a foreigner who accuses him of betraying the government, motherhood and marriage. I love historical fiction and I feel as though the author did a great job of displaying the characters. He has portrayed Shakespeare well and I feel as if this would be how he would act. The setting was great, as I said before I loved how it was in the 1500's. The author was descriptive about the time period and I honestly felt like I was there and living at that time. This is a great book, especially if you are a Shakespeare fan. The characters are interesting and I finished this in one setting. Read this one!
