This is the story of two races striving against one another for survival on the planet Uma. The Hek are a primitive race - fierce, strong, and virile. The Umae are more advanced but follow an ages-old set of laws known as The Protocols. For millennia, the Umae have sent a group of space explorers called the Journeyers into space to find Haven, a planet that could serve as their new home world. But the Hek are making technological advances at an unbelievable rate, and the Protocols are perhaps not what they seem.
