A Great Adventure Story - 5 Stars
This story weaves elements of reincarnation with immortality, and Native American culture, and although much of it is created for the use of the book, the author makes it work. The subject of Native American culture is treated in a very sensitive manner, in my opinion, and the language is written in such as way as it is very casual, engaging, and believable.
I loved the heroine in this story. I could find myself relating to her and routing for her as she started going through her adventure with the hero. Although you might easily say that the hero in this story is not a traditional hero, and he is troubled and burdened in several senses, but that is a part of what makes this story so wonderful, and what drew me in.
I rarely get a book that I want to read in one setting because it is so well crafted, but this book had captured my attention from the first page, and I found myself not wanting to put it down for the rest of the day. It had me on the edge of my seat, wanting to find out what happened next during the entire book. There were sufficient surprises and enough twists and turns to keep me hooked. I am looking forward to catching the sequel to this novel.
