My son was in the service, some of the dialog in this story reminded me of those years when he visited with his friends. Very well written and just when I thought I had everything figured out BANG! I'm wrong. The book starts out with a very unusual first contact and introduces the reader to some lore that becomes very important. I have to say I love sci-fi stories about humans battling aliens against overwhelming odds. The story was awesome and the way the author snuck in some fantasy blew my mind and put this book in my top ten. If bugs don't make you squeamish, you will love this story.
