Werewolf hunter Wolfsbane Bendis' life is turned upside down after being bitten during a dangerous mission. Old doubts surface and he is befriended by the half-velvend Falor Danek, who convinces him to ignore the Werewolf Hunters' Code and continue life as a werewolf. But, when Wolfsbane is called back home to attend his older brother's birthday celebration, he and Falor must work to hide his transformation, even as he struggles to master his new abilities.
