The Sword Argente
C. K. Sholly, author
A baby girl is stolen and hidden away. Years later a girl is found, but is she the same one? Her identity is unclear. Is she the missing princess or an impostor? She looks like a boy, she cannot speak, and she does not bear the birthmark of her family. Nevertheless, someone is determined to kill her. Greylin is the name she goes by, and she isn’t in search of an identity—or a hero—she’s in search of a sword that haunts her dreams, but she may find more than she could possibly imagine.

There is something so magical about stepping into a new world through a good book, especially fantasy. This one does not disappoint. It starts out from page one and carries you along right to the end. The characters resonate deeply and you feel connected. The story line rolls along smoothly through the journey and it is hard to put down. Woven within the words and writing are many Truths that reach through the cobwebs of today's world, where you can escape and become the child, the Paladin or the Mage. And yes, even the bad guy if you choose. I deeply felt connected to each and everyone of them and my only thought of discontent at the end of the wonderful ending, was that I now have to WAIT for the second one! The author writes from an incredible place of magic and knowing, and her heart for the story and characters sings evidently through each word. Kudos and thumbs WAY up.
