Thrive: Surviving in a Corporate Jungle
Mark Barnes, author
Thrive uses the Jungle as an analogy to look at life in the Corporate World. It is entirely based on real life observations and simply tries to inject a bit of humour into common scenarios witnessed in the corporate grind. It certainly isn't formulaic or stuffy. Oh, and did I mention it is beautifully illustrated :)

A clever and unique look at corporate life told with tongue firmly in cheek. As someone who works in a corporate I recognised many of the animals the author refers to and have experienced a number of the scenarios. There are some great observations:

"The most common language used by snakes is 'Gantt', which is a rather peculiar language - it is entirely fictional until spoken and then never changes..."

The jungle analogy is very apt. Overall, a very enjoyable read. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking of working for a large coprorate to get an inside view from the start, or someone who already works in a corporate and is looking for a fresh perspective on their role/career etc...
