To Retribution: When there's no going back
F J Curlew, author
The military is in control. Media is censored, movement restricted. There are re-education camps for trouble makers, repatriation camps for non-nationals. Jake, Brian and Suze, three idealistic young journalists, are used to hiding as they try to keep their online news channel open. They publish the truth about the repatriations, the corruption and the deceit. New Dawn, the feared security force, is closing in yet again. The trio run, yet again. This time, however, they are pursued with a relentlessness, a brutality which seems far too extreme for their 'crimes.' A trail of death is left in their wake as they try to escape New Dawn and find out what is really behind this hunt. They are drawn into a web of human trafficking, child abuse and murder. Only it's closer than they think. Much closer.

5.0 out of 5 starsGripping read, high tension!!!

I couldn't put this book down!! A tense thriller, fast paced, but the characters had a depth to them. I was constantly trying to second guess where the plot would go next, and was constantly proved wrong!! A great read, that I'm still thinking and talking about a week later (always a sign of a good book!!).

5.0 out of 5 starsRead it before it happens !

By Keith Simpson on 9 Sept. 2015

Format: Kindle Edition

This is a fast paced political thriller set in a potentially not too future Britain. I found it compulsive reading & was engrossed to find out what happens to the principal characters who are portrayed with insight & empathy. The story covers a number of contemporary social & political issues set in an all too possible near future scenario. A riveting read from an exciting new author.

I had to stay up until it was finished! A frightening warning of what can happen if people accept the politics of fear. The story twists and turns and you never know who to trust. Thoroughly recommended.

A page turner for sure, and scarily apt in these uncertain times.

WOW! A very topical, gripping and 'unputdownable' read. I loved the characters and really cared about their plight on the run from 'New Dawn' and its re-education camps. Fast-paced and full of twists and turns. More of the same please F J Curlew
