This is simply excellent. I have never read a book where the author has taken an incident from a book, which, by the way, was very well done in the original book, and making a separate book out of it, going into far more depth. It's a brilliant concept. I loved the protagonists when I first encountered them and savored this well-done novella.

I really can't recommend this book highly enough. It's a contemporary, realistic look at the relationship of a young man and a young woman. It unrelentingly explores the character's flaws, and makes them all the more appealing for doing so. In someone else's less capable hands, this book would simply be another book about a young romance that might not make it. Not in Ms. Theriot's capable hands. If you haven't read her other two books, this is a good place to begin because it will give you a sense of her masterful writing. Kudos, Ms. Therior for creating a suberb read!

Rock and roll and committed relationships aren’t an easy fit, especially when the rock and roller is used to living a quintessentially bad-boy lifestyle. In this novel we see how hard Todd must struggle, with himself and circumstances, to grow up and claim what he truly wants, a life with Kyra.

Jennifer Theriot has deftly managed a difficult task in this book. She gets us inside Todd’s head and helps us understand what makes him tick. We witness him growing and maturing as he discovers what it takes to be the person he wants to be. We truly get to know the soft heart residing behind the bad-boy facade.

This is a surprisingly sweet love story, F-bombs and all. It reminds us that everyone, regardless of how they appear to the world, is both capable and deserving of love.

Who doesn’t love a hot bad boy rocker? Especially one who’s been compared to Adam Levine. And I was already familiar with the character. Todd was in another of Theriot’s books - Out of the Box Awakening, which I loved, so of course, I had to buy this book. So glad I did. I like stories about opposites attracting, and although it might not seem like it in the beginning, sweet Kyra is perfect for Todd. Jennifer Theriot never disappoints. I’m looking forward to her next.

A Toccata is a piece of music for the piano or a similar instrument that is played very quickly.

Obbligato means not to be omitted.

What a perfect title for this book. My favorite character from this series has always been Todd. From the beginning he won my heart with his humor, and his absolute realness. He is the epitome of a rocker with a heart of gold. Heck his best friend is his his other best friend's step-mother! The best way for him to express himself is through his music. Todd is my Fairytale Man for sure!

Kyra needed someone to shake up her life. Who better than Todd! I like that she gives him chances to redeem himself.

This novella shows what happened with Todd and Kyra in the previous book, but from Todd's perspective. Now I can't wait for the next book!
