The Tweaks have been through a lot together. Now they're going to have to learn to live together. Because Shandra used her ability in front of the evil Dr. Grey, the genetically enhanced Tweaks have to move to Mr. Goetz's farm to avoid him. Shandra isn't sure if it will be harder to live with Chuck, the former bully who puts negative thoughts in her head, or Henry, the shy boy she likes who can read her mind. To top it all off, she has to do chores.She soon finds she has bigger problems she hadn't expected. Every time she gets mad, she uses her ability in front of strangers without thinking. One of them, a nosey reporter, takes too much interest in the new boarding school and in their teacher. If this snoop prints a story about them, it could steer Dr. Grey to their location.
