“Unfinished Business,” is a who-done-it built around a business plot. The plot is driven by an unscrupulous CEO of a major, multinational corporation, whose decisions cost careers and in one case, cost a life. While he dismisses these outcomes as simply the collateral damage of doing business – “It’s only business” – for one victim it is “unfinished business.” The revenge he exacts is computer interference and a series of catastrophic mishaps, which are bringing down the corporation. Instead of a detective in the traditional genre, the protagonist is a corporate investigator, whose knowledge of the supply chain and his business connections around the world are employed to find the source of the company’s problems.
