Unforgivable Lies

Adult; Mystery/Thriller; (Market)

They say never look back. However, sometimes the wicked deeds of past transgressions must be faced; especially when the deeds begin to resurface more vicious than before. The saying “when one door closes and another one opens” does not always mean for the better. They barely escaped with their lives when the woman who has hunted them for years came to destroy them with her darkness. She is a threat that lingers and never dies in this continuing bizarre case of false identities, deceptions and lies. Then, there is someone else…someone else, more wicked; he is also someone whose darkness will not forgive the hidden lies. Survival is the key as others become, engulfed in the dark, chaotic events unfolding around them. Some have a dark past. Some are not as they appear to be and everyone seems to, have unforgivable lies.

This drama, mystery and thriller are filled with endless danger, and characters that is realistic in their actions and reactions. An electrifying mystery with a well-developed, executed storyline and strong one solidly constructed and well played out.

I was captivated from the first page, as I waited to figure out the mystery as to what was going to happen to these amazing characters on Trivia Night. The book is told by multiple voices, which means each character have a distinct voice and a point of view that felt familiar, yet in your competent hands totally unique.

As you dig beneath the surface of each individual's façade, you demonstrate what appeared to be lies can inflict a great deal of damage, especially when the falsehoods conceal ugly truths. Along with her exploration of timely themes, the intagnous entertains us with sparkling dialogue, sharp humor, and a gripping mystery.

This book has a sting, which is funny, intelligent and ultimately moving. The characterizations are perfect, the Chicago setting idyllic, the pacing perfect as there is not one unnecessary page, the characters interconnections realistic and touching…. The story is full of clever dialogue and laugh out loud moments, while never losing sight that the subject matter is at times complex. Unforgivable Lies is filled with sharp observations about abuse, bullying, self-esteem, hatred, killing, friendship, lies and second chances.

I love the way this book was written, you know from the beginning that something has happened but as the story unfolds I got to see more and more of the full story and the trivia night washing what is expecting, there was a surprising plot twists towards the end!

So If You Want to Write a Thriller Novel? Buy This.
Review summary of Unforgivable Lies by D. Harvey Rawlings. This is a highly entertaining mystery/thriller. This psychological thriller is incredibly effective thanks to the writing skills of the author. You may not like some of the characters in the book; since when is “likability” a requirement for a good read. The characters are some of my favorite characters in literature, but I don’t really think I want to leave my children alone with them. As a matter of fact I’m sure I don’t want o particularly Ms. Thing (for those who have read the last book knows who I am talking about). A thumps up!
Also, I do like “Lady J,” review. It truly does tell it all. Nice write up.

Sooo good! I see you doing the DARN thing. But seriously, being that four and half star is not an option, I will round up and happily give five. What is the purpose of a good book? If it is to lose yourself in it and care about the characters…..this story will not disappoint. All the while, providing a great whodunit that will keep you wondering as you rifle through the pages! The plot was great and it stayed interesting to me. Very easy read with lots of twists and surprises. Love it!

I know you do not know me but I purchased a book from your wife on the metro sometime last week. Well, the first thing I’ll say is wow! It’s been a long time since I really, really didn’t want to put a book down – and even longer when I actually put off something important (like cooking dinner) so I could have a few more minutes to read. Okay, you say, then why just 4 stars? In fact, the dropping of the 5-star rating was decided somewhere around the 80% mark; all the loose ends were tied up neatly by the end, as far as I could tell, but somehow the final package wasn’t quite as satisfying (or believable) as I’d expected. Ah, but that first 80% had me hooked every word of the way. Truth is, so did the rest – even if I wasn’t totally happy with the ending. I couldn’t wait to get there. GOOD JOB.

            Give me more….. please!!!
I enjoyed this book. Although a work of fiction, this book is worth thought. The path without giving away too much of the story was a twist is interesting due to the factual information presented. This book is definitely worth reading and very well written. I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed reading “Lady J’s” review, which was very informative. She hit it right out of the box describing the characters and the story line all together. I do agree because what I took away from the story was loved, pay-back, forgiving, changing your life and unforgettable. I think the author did a great job of writing this book.

Could I just say “DRAMA.” Yesssss, I think the book was terrific, the characters and the story line was off the charts. Kudos once again to the author. Also, always remember the certain people (2) in your life which are there for you through thick and thin no matter what happens. They seem to never turn their backs on you.
