Our family LOVES this book! It has sparked great conversations with my kids about each of their stories and the ways we prepared for their births celebrating the incredible journey that is pregnancy. This book allows you to experience many feelings and relive memories at each page as you reminisce about a time that is so unique and special. It has quickly become an essential part of our library and a family favorite. Would make a great gift for any parent!

Very sweet book. My son's preschool teacher is pregnant, so he has so many questions about babies in bellies. But he doesn't care at all about the technical aspects, he's just curious about the magic - that there exists a time when he wasn't here in the world (!) but was still loved and fussed over. This book details all those sweet little things that happened during pregnancy: how we spent time choosing their name, shopping for a stroller that they now refuse to ride in and, yes, how we marched for a better world. The first time I we read it he wanted to read it twice in a row. LOVED.

This is such a perfect gift for expecting mothers as well as children of all ages! The story is heartfelt and endearing as we follow the loving journey parents take in preparing for the arrival of a child. I love the diversity of parents Kara chose to represent, and Hanji’s colorful illustrations match the storyline to perfection. I look forward to reading future books from this talented duo!

This is an amazingly personal and heartfelt love letter from a parent to their child. Not only is the story extremely relatable, it is truly written for our time. The diverse families depicted represent the world we live in. Every parent has hopes and dreams for their child regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. Thank you for representing the often under represented.

When You Were in My Belly is a fan favorite in our house these days. Such a beautifully written book by Kara. It also gave me a chance to think back to the time when I was pregnant and how I felt.

The book beautifully depicts the story of childbirth and how parents begin to show love for their child long before they are born.

This book has mesmerising illustrations alongside the story which makes it more interesting. You will love every page of the book.

The book cover and the titled allured me. It is so thoughtfully kept. Loved the way this book shows how different families plan for their baby. They are ecstatically happy and excited about everything, be it a small activity of buying new clothes, stroller or a big event like deciding about name.

I would recommend this book to all the parents, it will make them feel nostalgic. Children’s should also read this book to know how their parents felt at the time of their birth♥️♥️

🌼This book shows how various families plan for their child. They are very excited, cheerful and amped up for everything, be it a little action of purchasing new garments, carriage or a major occasion like choosing about name.

🌼The story is so pure and genuine and charming as we follow the caring excursion guardians are getting ready for the appearance of a kid.
